Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her work. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 1972 are among her most famous movies. She was drawn to becoming an artist was inspired by her family background in the New York family of artists. She began as a photo assistant and then moved on to modeling and acting. MacGraw was awarded the Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw's movie Love Story was an international smash, and earned her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. In just three films MacGraw became the most popular female box-office star in the entire world. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were immortalized in 1972 by Grauman's Chinese Theater. Alongside The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television series The Winds of War. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
