Maribel grew in Virginia along with her parents although there aren't many details about the family. As a child, Maribel wanted to be a lawyer and pursued an occupation in the legal profession. She was accepted into the University of Virginia after graduating high school to study foreign Policy as well as minoring in German. It is one of America's most prestigious universities, and has an illustrious history that dates back to 1819, when Thomas Jefferson founded it. Jefferson was one of Declaration of Independence authors. The university has expanded to include more than hundred different programs within the Jefferson's Academical Village which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This university is spread over 1,600 acres for the main campus and many more acres for the Research Park as well as the Farm. Maribel earned her law school from New York Law School.
