Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk was an acclaimed actor, producer and director who also taught in St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter an academic with a reputation for excellence. Anna has some first memories of watching and going to rehearsals for plays. Silk produced a number of commercials when she was a child. She earned a Bachelors in Arts in the field of theater at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least 2 early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in November 1999 and moved to Los Angeles during the next decade. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an Actors Workshop in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple got engaged in 2009, then married in the civil ceremony on the month of December in that same year. The couple renewed their vows on April 10, 2011, in Fredericton at a Jewish ceremony after becoming a Jew.
