Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American writer, performer and performer best known for playing Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. Her stage career began in the 1950s with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Later, in 1956, she made her big break in the stage on Broadway in Li'l Abner's musical. The singer also released her debut album, titled It's Time to Tina in the same year. Her first appearance into Hollywood was as Griselda in God's Little Acre, a 1958 drama. The film was met with wide praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. In the course of this film, she was enrolled into Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection with Lee Strasberg as his student. The next memorable role she played was in 1964. She signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour was able to move between Broadway as well as Hollywood acting as a sombre character contrast to her image of the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has made a name as a director on several well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. She was born in Essex on August 28th 1965. She and her family moved to Toronto at the age of three where she subsequently spent growing up and in adolescence. In 1997 after being selected to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived there ever since.
